Namba Hamba Foundation Announces Three Major Community Events to Support Local Youth and Families

Johannesburg, South Africa, May 17, 2024 — The Namba Hamba Foundation is excited to announce three upcoming events aimed at supporting the local community through charitable initiatives. These events include a Youth Day Soup Kitchen on June 16, a Winter Clothing Drive on July 27, and a Sanitary Pad Drive on August 9, 2024. Each event is designed to address specific needs within the community and provide vital resources to those in need.

Youth Day Soup Kitchen - June 16, 2024

In honor of Youth Day, the Namba Hamba Foundation will host a Soup Kitchen on Sunday, June 16, 2024. The event will start at 12 PM at the Klipspruit Eco Park, near Shoprite USave. This initiative aims to provide warm meals to community members, fostering a spirit of togetherness and support. Donations of food items and volunteer assistance are welcome. Interested parties can email nambahambasa@gmail.com to sign up by June 15.

Winter Clothing Drive - July 27, 2024

As winter approaches, the Namba Hamba Foundation will hold a Winter Clothing Drive on Saturday, July 27, 2024. This event seeks to collect and distribute warm clothing to children and families in need, ensuring that everyone can stay warm and comfortable during the colder months. The drive will take place at the Klipspruit Eco Park, near Shoprite USave from 10 AM to 4 PM. We encourage the donation of gently used or new winter clothes, including jackets, scarves, gloves, and hats.

Sanitary Pad Drive - August 9, 2024

Recognizing the importance of menstrual health and hygiene, the Namba Hamba Foundation will organize a Sanitary Pad Drive on Friday, August 9, 2024. This initiative aims to provide sanitary products to young girls and women who may not have access to these essential items. The venue for the drive will be announced closer to the day of the drive. We welcome donations of sanitary pads and other menstrual hygiene products.
